Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
6. Hand out crackers to eat and get binders for each child out
and go to the Prayer O Heavenly King
7. Remind kids of where we left off last year: Pentecost and how the goal of the Christian life has a lot to do with the acquisition of the Holy Spirit. We will be learning about the
Holy Trinity and how the Holy Spirit is one Person of the Holy Trinity!
8. This year we are going to practice praying the prayer to the Holy Spirit called:
O Heavenly King:
O Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere present and fillest all things, Treasury of good things and Giver of life: Come and dwell in us, and cleanse us of all impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.
